Dean Rolha City Administrator Response to Teamster 763 Letter

There was a letter delivered to City of Clyde Hill by Teamsters 763 (posted below) for a comment made by City Administrator, Dean Rohla toward a police officer. Attached below is a response letter from Mr. Rohla.*

Excerpts from Dean Rohla response letter to Teamster 763 letter

No complaint was filed by Officer Fernandez.

Both Officer Fernandez and I had considered this event behind us. Then City Council member Dean Hachamovitch filed a Public Records Request (PRR 2022- 05-31) on May 31, 2022 for, “all complaints, written or oral, made against Dean Rohla since his employment with the city of Clyde Hill.”

…we both reiterated that we had been surprised when we received the Public Records Request notifications and still both considered the incident resolved.

Again, I deeply regret what I said and remain apologetic. I am always committed to improving my leadership skills.

Officer Stroble left the City to explore opportunities outside of law enforcement.

At the September Council meeting, Council Member Hachamovitch accused me of lying to Council and/or the union..

I, as City Administrator, never lied to the union or to Council as to the status of negotiations and always acted in “good faith” and the best fiduciary interest of the city of Clyde Hill.
