Seven residents apply for one open City Council position

The window has closed for applying for the open council position #2. Seven residents have thrown their hats in the ring. This is encouraging, as it has been challenging to find even one person wanting to serve their community in the past.  Their application questionnaires can be found here.

On Monday, May 1st at 6 pm, Council will appoint one of the applicants to fill the Council seat #2 position. This appointed term will expire upon the certification of the November 2023 General Election when the elected individual will be sworn in. The appointed individual may declare themselves a candidate during the May 15-19 filing period open to all candidates who wish to seek election to the position.

On Monday, May 1st at 6 pm residents can login remotely to watch who council appoints by using the Microsoft Teams link here.
