Clyde Hill just turned 70 years old! The Town received its name after a road — Clyde Hill Road (now 92nd Avenue NE) — which was named after an area in Scotland called “Firth of Clyde” by a Scottish immigrant. Ken Day, who would later become the first Mayor, suggested this area be called Clyde Hill. The town was incorporated six years later, on March 31, 1953. Read the entire town history here.

Clyde Hill Annual Parade of Pumpkins: Help Create an Amazing Jack-O-Lantern Display!
For years, the City of Clyde Hill has had one of the best jack-o-lantern displays in the area. The City puts out uncarved pumpkins; you select one, take it home, turn it into a work of art, then bring it back for display in front of the Police Department. Every year we are surprised and amazed at the creativity of the participants! We will provide candles and take care of lighting them up! Look for the pumpkins on Tuesday, October 25th. Display will be from October 26th – 31st.
******** If you take a pumpkin, please bring it back carved and ready for the display. Also, please remember that this is a family friendly event. We will not accept pumpkins with foul language or political themes. ********
