The Race Is Set

Three-Way Races Shape Up for Clyde Hill City Council in November Election

The November 2025 General Election in Clyde Hill will feature contested races for all three City Council positions on the ballot and is shaping up to be one of the most consequential in Clyde Hill history. Each position has exactly two candidates, eliminating the need for a Primary Election in August. Voters will have clear choices as each position features multiple candidates, including a mix of incumbents, appointees, and new challengers.

Council Position No. 1:  Lisa Wissner-Slivka vs. Lyn Adams

Position 1 features a challenge to incumbent Lisa Wissner-Slivka, who was originally appointed to the council and is now seeking election to a full term. She is facing Lyn Adams, a longtime Clyde Hill resident.

Council Position No. 3: Brad Andonian vs. Jennifer Michelle Nelson

Another appointed incumbent, Brad Andonian, is seeking to retain his seat in Position 3. He is being challenged by Jennifer Michelle Nelson, a new entrant to city politics. This race offers voters the opportunity to assess the performance of an appointed councilmember versus a newcomer who may bring a fresh perspective to local issues.

Council Position No. 5: Dean Hachamovitch vs. Mike Minard

Position 5, currently held by Dean Hachamovitch, is one of the more high-profile contests this cycle. Hachamovitch, the only elected incumbent in this election, is seeking re-election amid heightened scrutiny over his role in recent council controversies. Challenger Mike Minard has filed to run after Planning Commissioner Jared Wheeler, who initially entered the race, withdrew his candidacy. Minard’s entry sets the stage for a competitive campaign against a sitting councilmember with a contentious record.

A Pivotal Moment for Clyde Hill

This election offers Clyde Hill residents a rare chance to reshape the majority of their City Council in a single cycle. With concerns around transparency, governance, and the city’s future direction, voter turnout and engagement will be critical. Each race represents a distinct choice in leadership style, values, and approach to city governance.

Stay tuned as campaign season unfolds and candidates share their visions for the future of Clyde Hill.
